I remember when I was a child how much I LOVED Thanksgiving. It even rivaled Christmas as my favorite holiday. I loved the food. And the beautiful set up on the table made it taste even better. Finding my name scrawled on a folded piece of paper next to my plate, indicating where I would sit for my feast was the topping on the cake. Blue jars...oh, how blissful!

There is something magical about old blue canning jars. I love the way they look when the sun shines on them. Blue is my favorite color. And these jars are my very favorite shade of blue.

Vintage Style School Room

This is my latest project I've been working on; a vintage inspired school room.  It's not finished yet, but here's a little sneak peek. After my oldest daughter left for college this fall, it gave me the opportunity to revamp the basement. I'm making a school room, a place to play house, and hopefully a little general store. The school part is almost complete. My focus now is the little general store.
